Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about re|engage.
What does a typical night at re|engage look like?
The format of Wednesday night is as follows:
- Large group time
15-20 minutes of praise and worship,
15-20 minute marriage story shared by a couple or a short teaching. - Small group time (1 hour)
Newcomer’s Group: Your first initial visit
Open Group: Your second and following visits
Closed Group: When/if you and your spouse decide to join a small group, we’ll put you in a group with 4-5 other couples and a facilitator couple where you will work through a re|engage participant’s guide together. Once this group starts, you can expect it to last 4-5 months.
When and where does re|engage meet?
Is there a cost for re|engage?
Once you start your Closed Group, curriculum books are available at $10 each.
Do you provide childcare?
Yes, we do provide childcare during the school year for children 6 weeks to grade 5.
Will we benefit if our marriage is doing well?
Whether your marriage needs to be reignited, or is in need of a complete resurrection, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect.
What if we have only been married a short time?
You can still come! In fact, participating in re|engage at this stage in your marriage is a great idea! The program will provide a strong foundation for your marriage.

Our re|engage ministry is for marriages in any condition. Whether you are struggling to get along, your relationship is broken, or you simply want to grow closer together as a couple; your marriage can benefit from re|engage. This is a safe place where couples are able to reconnect through a time of worship, teaching and small group time which follows an engaging curriculum. Join us for our Merge Weekend Experience on Friday, January 27 from 5:30–9:30 PM and Saturday, January 28 from 9:30 AM–5:30 PM at our Rockwall campus. Dinner will be provided on Friday night, and on Saturday, there will be a light breakfast selection, lunch and dinner. No childcare will be provided for this session. QUESTIONS
Do you have to be a member of Lakepointe to get married?
Facilities are available for weddings and receptions exclusively to members of Lakepointe Church who are active in our church community, children of active members, or to non-members who are actively pursuing membership at Lakepointe Church.
Are there any premarital requirements?
When can I schedule my wedding?
- Wedding dates need to be scheduled at least three months prior but no more than nine months in advance.
- Ceremonies are only held on Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
- Weddings will not be held on any holidays or holiday weekends.
- There will be one available time slot for the ceremony only on: Friday 3:00-6:00 PM or Saturday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.
- The officiating pastor has full discretion on the wedding ceremony.
